With the latest announcement of Connecticut Online Gambling soft launches, casino players and sports fans can gamble online legally in the state. Around 2250 users, including 750 users for every one of the three sites, can devour as the soft launch for Connecticut Online Gambling begins at 3 p.m on October 12, 2021. The full launch is expected to be open to the general public on the scheduled date of October 19, 2021.

Under the strict advisory guidelines by the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection’s Gaming Division (DCP), DraftKings, PlaySugarHouse, and Mohegan Sun can individually take up 750 signups. The users of Mohegan Sun and DraftKings will get access to their sites for online casinos and the sportsbook, but with 750 signups total for each, not as per vertical.

For the announcement on October 8 about the soft launch by the department, its commissioner Michelle H. Seagull said:

“Until there’s no havoc or issues, we have exclaimed the licenses to carry-on with their 7-day soft launch as required in the regulations. Once the soft launch procedure is done, the state of Connecticut will become open to online gambling.”

The soft launch is an effective step towards the smooth execution of the full launch.

According to the DCP, if everything goes well and smoothly for the soft launch next week, Connecticut will open to online casino and sports betting on October 19, 2021. A few other legal online gambling states also direct the soft launch period, but it generally does not last for a full week. The ideology behind this decree is to test the real use condition of the software in a limited manner to avoid any unpleasant surprises. The soft launch brings good news for the leftover players of this week to enjoy a guaranteed hassle-free experience during the full launch.

PlaySugarHouse

Rush Street Interactive (RSI), which is involved in empowering the Connecticut Lottery Corporation (CLC) sportsbook, has recently put its press release on the soft launch by PlaySugarHouse.

The announcement says that 750 bettors can put wagers on a first-come, first-serve basis. Further, the registrants will be placed on the waiting list for the full launch on October 19. All the statements match the requirements of the DCP.

Mohegan And the Mashantucket Pequot Tribes

The tribes have both sportsbook and online casino rights, confirms the DCP. However, the tribe came up with a limited number of casino games for the soft launch extension period. The terms followed by them during the soft launch will be the same as that of PlaySugarHouse.

The DCP restrictions followed by them after the online casino games soft launch will be:

  • For both sports betting and online casino game capabilities, the soft launch will be limited to 750 patrons per operator.
  • The Connecticut Online Gambling soft launch will stay restricted to the games approved by the DCP, which goes over 200 games, making it ideal for casino lovers and sports fans.
  • There will be no peer-to-peer online casino games involved in the soft launch.
